Eureka Skatepark Fundraiser Rescheduled

The Eureka Skatepark fundraising event scheduled for January 31 and February 1 at the Eureka Municipal Auditorium has been rescheduled for March 7 and 8.  The event had planned to bring skate ramps out of storage with KSLG providing a DJ.  For a small admission price skaters could skate all day, indoors, to music.

Green Wheels is helping with the fundraiser by seeking donations for a silent auction and plans to table at the event.  Though the planning meetings have been canceled, Green Wheels encourages those interested in becoming involved with the fundraiser to attend the meetings and seek donations from local stores.

One of Green Wheels’ main projects is to provide a trail between Arcata and Eureka along the railroad tracks for cyclists and pedestrians to enjoy.  The Eureka skatepark, planned to built in Coopers Gulch Community Park, would be in close contact to the trail way between Arcata and Eureka.

Updates, including planning meetings, will be posted as they come.
