Transit Info on the Go

The new version of Google Maps for Mobile (www.google.com/gmm), available for Blackberries and other devices, includes transit instructions. On some devices, it can even provide transit instructions based on your automatically-sensed current location. Google says that Google Maps for Mobile with transit directions will be available for other connected handheld devices soon. Mobile devices make transit more useful in many different ways — allowing people to listen to music, make phone calls, send and receive email, browse the web, and now — look up transit information — when they are onboard buses or waiting at stops.
