Some of you may already be familiar with the website: http://www.bartrage.com/. If not, you should definitely spend some time and read through the rants people post about this San Francisco rapid transit system. Its not only amusing but would make a great model for a site we could have for HTA, etc. Sure, we don't have wifi access around every corner so its harder to blog on the fly but it might be a fun way to vent and see what types of experiences other users are having. Who knows? We might even get a clearer idea of what the actual problems really are. At least from the points of view of those who own computers and have access to internet. All those other people? Well, they're probably forced to ride the bus anyway:)

Not a very good idea!
Kevin,
Bartrage.com, eh? There's some interesting and entertaining posts on there, for sure. I'm not wild about the name of the site though — Bart RAGE! It definitely inspires a lot of whining and outrage — but, nonetheless, I did see some constructive solutions on there. I like the suggestion about naming lines by color for arrival display information.
But I have to contrast the approach Bartrage takes with the one at getsatisfaction.com, in which HTA and Humboldt's transit riders have begun to participate. Check out the Customer service pact they link to.
Also, I think it's worth pointing out that BART is a multi-billion dollar organization, funded, I think, by sales taxes levied in the counties it serves. It's definitely a 800-pound gorilla that can handle and probably needs a little of the provocation that a site like bartrage.com dishes out. As a tiny transit agency in rural Northern California, I'd say that, if anything, HTA needs a website like tlc-for-hta.org before hta-rage.org!
