As an avid backcountry skier and sustainable transportation nut, I have often pondered the possibility of doing a little ski trip by bicycle. This guy beat me to it.
Starting in Bend, Oregon, Cem Terzi rode up to Mt. Bachelor and skied at the resort, and then proceeded to bike to, climb, and ski: Diamond Peak, Mt. Bailey, Crater Lake, Mt McGlaughlin, Mt Ashland, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen, the Matterhorn, Mt Dana, Mt Gibbs. For those of you unfamiliar with some of the peak names, he climbed and skied just about every volcano of note in the Southern Cascades, and then rode all the way down to Yosemite to do some skiing there. From the photos, it looks like he has flat pedals.
